Should I be concerned?

Abnormal cervical cells may be serious. In some cases, they are not diagnosed or treated, they can become cervical cancer.
That’s why if you do get an abnormal Pap test, it’s important to take whatever other tests or steps your doctor recommends. Further tests can detect if the cells are precancerous and help determine the next course of action if needed.
