What do they look like?

One important thing to know is that genital warts don’t always look the same. In fact, they can sometimes be difficult to identify since they can look many different ways.
Genital warts are soft growths or bumps that can be raised or flat, small or large, and alone or in clusters. They are typically pink or flesh-colored, and usually appear on the external genitals or near the anus of both women and men. Or you might not see them at all.
Some warts can grow inside a woman’s vagina, or on the cervix, making them hard to see. So, just because you don’t see them, it doesn’t mean they aren’t there. For men, genital warts are most likely to appear on or around the penis.
